Ed Lowder graduated from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO with a degree in psychology and counseling. He later completed his Masters program in professional counseling at Amberton University in Garland, Texas. Ed has over 15 years experience working in various mental health and hospital settings. For the last six years he has been in the Kansas City area. He has worked extensively with families, adolescents and adults. He has proven experience in assisting clients with a wide variety of issues such as substance use disorders, emotional regulation, mood disorders, anger management skills and relationship issues.
Ed employs a variety of cognitive-based approaches with a solution-focused view. His therapeutic approach builds on individuals’ positive strengths, increases self awareness and attempts to assist in developing a healthy lifestyle.
