Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Missouri. She is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) trained. She is currently receiving training to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).

Melissa is passionate about supporting change that is authentic and feels in alignment to each person. Every person’s experience in life is unique, and the work towards healing should also be unique to each person. Despite challenges experienced in life, she believes that each of us has the innate tools within to heal and overcome. Her focus is to work together to help create more capacity and resiliency to simply be human. She enjoys working with anxiety, depression, trauma and self-worth. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, enhancing safety and stabilization, empowerment, and honoring each person’s lived experience.

Melissa earned her Master of Social Work degree from the Univeristy of Missouri - Kansas City and her Bachelor of Psychology degree from Northwest Missouri State University. She has experience providing therapy in a variety of settings, including individual and outpatient group therapy, adolescent foster care, community advocacy, psychiatric hospitals and medical hospitals.
